But unfortunately, we face a technical complication here: In order to vary the sample size seamlessly (which is necessary to obtain the optimal sample size), the relative subgroup frequencies have to be maintained.
The relative subgroup consisted of 23 men aged 45 70 with at least one first-degree relative with PCa.
Distribution of validation cases appeared to faithfully represent the relative subgroup frequencies that have been reported by multiple studies in the literature (Fig. 2d) [ 1, 6, 12].
We have so far only considered relative subgroup effects (for example, one group benefits from treatment while another group does not benefit).
Even if a credible relative subgroup exists, it does not imply that treatment decisions should be different across subgroup levels, since treatment could still be worthwhile (or not worthwhile) in both groups.
Because of more frequent extracellular localisation of the transcripts within PDR subgroup and the cytokine signaling related subgroup (CSR subgroup) relative to PSR subgroup, it could be postulated that these gene products could directly interact with host proteins.

GUS expression pattern of ATAF1 and ATAF2, which belongs to the ATAF subgroup and is a relative closer subgroup with stress-NAC TFs [ 15], also showed an strong GUS activity in the local damaged tissues [ 28, 29].
