Similar to results observed for proliferative cultures, relative levels of pERK-1/2 in quiescent cultures treated with IFN-γ and DS-SILY20 returned to levels similar to that of no treatment controls after 60 min of stimulation; however, elevated levels of pERK-1/2 were still observed in quiescent SMCs stimulated with PDGF alone or PDGF and low concentrations of DS-SILY20 (data not shown).
