There are two ways to show the path, absolute path and relative path.
Update the existing system calls so that, anywhere a file name is provided by the caller, an absolute or relative path name may used.
client (Linux): when launching apps, put a relative path to the executable (../../projects/x/y) into argv, not just the executable filename.
In relative path, we use '.' to show the current directory the script is in and use '..'. to show the parent directory of current directory.
Absolute path sees the file from the global view while relative path shows the file from the position of present script.
Note: The CALDB requires full, absolute path names be specified so the relative path is expanded when setting the environment variables.

The paths that we have shown you are more properly called relative paths.
