A politics sensitive to the individual was also one that fostered among citizens a sense of collective responsibility for the fate of fellow human beings, a politics of solidarity.As such, Havel's politics was a humane politics: it was small, it was personal, it hoped to retain elements of face-to-face interaction and intimate relationships of care whenever possible.
