Adjusted risk ratios (aRRs) for death and poor outcome, defined as a modified Rankin Scale score ≥4, were calculated with Poisson regression in relation to VA occlusion, VA occlusion or stenosis ≥50%%, and bilateral VA occlusion.
No relationship was detected between the presence of Bolton discrepancy and the asymmetric molar relationship, which may indicate that the known possible explanations for this classification (skeletal asymmetry, centric relation-centric occlusion shift, dental asymmetry due to drifting or dental anomalies) remain the underlying causes.
