Despite the long-running awareness of the hawk-dove problem in medical examinations, we are not aware of any previous study which has used a rigorous statistical method to assess properly the stringency or leniency of large numbers of examiners, and to examine how background factors relate to stringency and leniency.
The difference between these counts is likely related to stringency of predictions between the two programs; however, it is still recommended that both tools be used since they incorporate different algorithms in cluster prediction [ 23].
