They considered it a worthwhile learning experience, were able to incorporate new practices to improve their quality of life, reinforced practices they already knew, and in particular recognized the importance of having a space and time for sharing with their classmates about the stressors of academic life and reflecting on their attitudes, choices and quality of life.
Speed and accuracy in the majority of psychomotor tasks studied are typically acquired very rapidly during the early stages of reinforced practice, the average rate of gain tending to drop off as the number of trials or training time increases (Figure 1).
Recognizing this danger (and the corollary that no definition of learning is likely to be totally satisfactory) a definition proposed in 1961 by G.A.
