The paper is organized as follows: in "Hit-and-miss hypertopologies: an overview" and "Regular set multifunctions" several remarkable hit-and-miss hypertopologies and their properties are listed from a mathematical perspective and regularity of set multifunctions is introduced in a unifying way with respect to these hypertopologies.
