I applaud your editorial urging Long Islanders to break out of our little-boxes mentality and plan as a region ("Thinking Bigger," Aug. 14).
Chukotka, the country's most distant and impoverished region, is thinking of wind power.
The behind-the -scenes machinations to fill them aren't exactly top of mind for most in Silicon Valley, but they shouldn't be the last thing the region is thinking about, either.
