Until a disease-arresting therapy is identified, increasingly sophisticated human neuroimaging and postmortem studies could begin to forge links between specific networks, regions, layers, and cell types, on the one hand, and well-defined clinical deficits on the other.
As a result, ACh, dopamine, noradrenaline, and serotonin signaling can be assumed to be highly localized, with transients associated with a specific behavioral or cognitive operations occurring specifically in certain regions, layers, and circuits.
The background fluorescence in deep regions (layers II or III) by the conventional technique was higher than those reported for the conventional technique [ 16, 17] due to the high scattering coefficient.
