Overall, given the absence of cellular respiratory/energy disturbances and histopathological damage as well as the relatively mild exacerbation of organ injury/dysfunction (as measured by selected circulating parameters), this study strongly cautions against reflexive interpretation of organ deregulation as the main culprit of early deaths in the young outbred CLP female mice.
