The phrase "reflection position" can be used in written English, but it may not be commonly used or familiar to all readers.
It may be more specific to certain technical or academic contexts, where the concept of reflection in language or thought is being discussed. Example: In this study, we analyzed how language learners' reflection position affected their ability to understand and use complex grammar structures.
The experimental data (dots), a Rietveld fit (red line, Rwp 3.57%, Rp 2.70%), reflection positions of wurtzite (top row) and zincblende (bottom row) CuGaS2, and the different curves are displayed.
The broadening and shift of the basal reflection positioned between ∼ 13.5 and ∼ 11.2 Å (depending on the Ca/Si ratio) arises from nanocrystallinity and possibly from an interstratification phenomenon.

To our knowledge, we report for the first time the XRFD exhibited by an amyloid-like system over the course of fibre alignment in the hydrated, semi-hydrated and dried aligned state as shown in Figure 4. Importantly, we find that the reflection positions arising from the amyloid architecture are present, and the diffuse scattering from water (~3.5 Å) is still observable.
The shift of the major reflection (200) position to lower 2θ values can be also explained by a distortion in the cellulose I structure.
In all three cases, the variation of reflection spectral position with time was similar: a fast initial phase followed by a plateau wavelength and a subsequent rapid descent to the final color.
The experiment geometry was carefully designed considering the prediction of the specular reflection point positions (see Figure 6).
