The most frequently studied PSDs were related to eight areas: emotional problems, reduced vitality and fatigue, pain, difficulties at work, reduced physical and reduced mental health, poor social functioning and increased global disability.
Key processes responsible for these transitions are strong deposition of iron oxyhydroxides, incomplete decay of leaves and wood, and reduced vitality of riparian trees.
In total, 34 difficulties have been collected from 51 papers: the most frequent were reduced vitality and fatigue, emotional problems, pain, difficulties at work, general physical and mental health, social functioning and global disability.
Our results confirm that migraine is a burdensome disease and that migraineurs experience several PSDs, in particular emotional problems, reduced vitality, pain, increased disability, difficulties with work, mental and physical health, social functioning.

Future intervention strategies could focus on how to enhance relationship and conscientiousness and on how to reduce vitality.
