The increase in AMPARs in REs after cLTP reflects a redistribution of trafficking AMPARs in dendrites such that AMPAR receptor recycling via REs is increased, while recycling via the Arf6-TC10-containing endosomes was unchanged.
When combined with our studies showing that exogenously [5] and endogenously (Fig. 2) expressed Rab4b and Rab11 become enriched in the protrusions of cells depleted of mDpy-30, these data suggest that instead of changing the trafficking of β1 integrin, mDpy-30 knockdown leads to the spatial redistribution of the trafficking compartments themselves.
