The external recording solution for all recordings with GxTx1E and its analogues contained 50 mM RbCl, 50 mM NaCl, 10 mM HEPES (increased to 20 mM at 10 μM and higher concentrations of F7A toxin mutant), 1 mM MgCl2 and 0.3 mM CaCl2 at pH 7.6 (with NaOH).
