The corresponding excitatory postsynaptic potentials (fEPSPs) were recorded in stratum lucidum of area CA3.
Extracellular field excitatory postsynaptic potentials (fEPSP) were recorded in stratum radiatum of the CA1 hippocampal region with glass electrodes filled with 3 M NaCl coupled to the headstage of an IE-210 electrometer (Warner, USA).
