"recommended readings" is correct and usable in written English
You can use it when you want to refer to books that can help readers learn more about a certain topic. For example: "If you want to learn more about climate change, I recommend the following readings: 'Climate Change: What Everyone Needs to Know' by Joseph Romm and 'The End of Nature' by Bill McKibben."
