The TC approach involves explicit expectations that students act as the patient's advocate by forging partnerships with community organizations and advocacy groups and by making social-context recommendations that address both short- and long-term challenges to health [ 180, 197].
The fact of the matter is that the majority of the focus is on measures or recommendations that address students (improving guidance, monitoring, personalization, access to jobs, etc).; there are many less measures that focus on the teachers.
A mail survey of key decision makers in NBT programs in the state resulted in 22 major policy initiative recommendations that address: resource allocation and management, state agency planning and coordination, partnership with stakeholders, communication between state agencies and the public, knowledge base and the role of science, and information and data management.
