A single intratibial injection of CM-Dil-labeled isogeneic ASCs or ASC-MT into SAMP6 recipients significantly improved trabecular bone quality after 6 weeks in comparison to untreated contralateral bones, as determined by micro-CT.
One month after immunization, significant increases in the percentage of influenza-specific memory IgG B cells were observed in both '05-LAIV and '05-TIV recipients, with the increase in '05-TIV recipients significantly greater than that in the '05-LAIV recipients (2.50±0.44, mean±standard error vs. 0.73±0.23, P = .0019, unpaired t-test with Welch's correction).
Graft survival rates at 1 year in primary PTA recipients significantly improved from 23% in era 0 to >80% in era 5 (Fig. 2).
The combined results for renal allograft recipients show that HPV DNA was detectable in 79% of viral warts, 42% of premalignant keratoses, 33% of intraepidermal carcinomas, 43% of invasive squamous cell carcinomas and 16% of uninvolved skin specimens (squamous cell carcinomas/renal allograft recipients significantly different at P < 0.05 from uninvolved skin specimens/renal allograft recipients).

Importantly, injection of tumor-antigen specific CD8+ T cells stimulated via α-MSH/MC-1R signaling into tumor-bearing recipient mice significantly reduced progressive tumor growth indicating that α-MSH/MC-1R interactions were crucial for the induction of tumor-specific cytotoxic T lymphocytes.
