More often than the enthusiasts would like to admit, however, the good reasons for study abroad are not always the reasons motivating undergraduates.

Patients who were lost to follow-up withdrew from the study after visit 3 (one patient) and visit 5 (three patients) referring no specific reasons for study withdrawal.
While this is undoubtedly the case with some trials, the large number of studies and the widely varying reasons for study performance speak against a systematic bias.

Safety outcomes included: the frequency, nature and severity of adverse events; the frequency of serious adverse events; the frequency of adverse events considered by the investigator to be related to study medication; the reasons for study withdrawals; abnormal electrocardiograms; and abnormal hematology and clinical chemistry results.
Reasons for study exclusions were recorded.
