In contrast with influenza virus, almost the whole genome was covered in #N2 (7,302 reads) and #N3 (15,260 reads) samples, with average cover depths of 141.5 and 258.7, respectively (Table 3).
For example, on datasets of short reads (samples from S1 to S5), the average precision is 98.68% with m=0, while the score is 99.82% with m=25.
We tested this pipeline on three human (79 bp reads) and three mouse (51 bp reads) samples and found that, on average, 9.8%% of the reads were discarded as species-ambiguous (Fig. 1b) and that, on average, 0.2%% of the reads were assigned to the wrong species (Fig. 1c).
