To evidence pathological features of malaria during the course of pregnancy and in the developing fetus, this infection period was determined to be the optimal time point as earlier infections did not allow reaching pregnancy at term (data not shown), which is consistent with previous reports [26], [27], [31].
Benefits to public health could be far reaching; pregnancy is a time of significant change within a family at which women who could benefit from weight control are accessible and may be readily motivated, and any change to lifestyle could influence families' behaviour in the longer term.
This finding may suggest that a wide range of the number of transferred embryos had the same opportunity to reach pregnancy.
The participants had all reached pregnancy care in the public sector and were making a first visit for either AnC or abortion services; there is no data on women who never reached or did return to the public-sector services after being sent way – for example, women seeking abortion who were so delayed that they were denied a legal abortion were not included in this study.
Furthermore, we cannot rule out that women defined as pausing their treatment 3 months before conception were misclassified and had treatment periods reaching into pregnancy.
However, in cases of experimentally induced repeat breeding in heifers, re-insemination 24 h after first insemination did not reach a pregnancy rate similar to that seen in controls, although the pregnancy rate was higher than that following a single AI [ 15].

For analysis of mode of delivery following IOL, and to examine the effect of high BMI on delivery complications following IOL for women with a prolonged pregnancy, only women with a pregnancy reaching 290 days were included in this study cohort because this follows the hospital's protocol for IOL for prolonged pregnancy.
