"Ted was completely rational," said Richard Wigley, the general manager of the BBC Philharmonic.
"These elections, sadly, are rational," said Ruth Gavison, a Hebrew University law professor.
"We have brought the two worlds together: retail and medical, emotional and rational," says Terzioglu.
"The deal would have a strong strategic rational," said Matthias Heck, a utility analyst at Sal. Oppenheim in Frankfurt.
"Even by his own standards of what is rational, he is not being rational," said one American official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity under diplomatic protocol.
"The feelings may be irrational, but once you have the feelings, the behavior is perfectly rational," said Dr. George Lowenstein, a professor of economics and psychology at Carnegie Mellon University.
"I think that consumers are certainly in a state of shock right now, but their behavior is fundamentally rational," said Martin Regalia, chief economist at the United States Chamber of Commerce.
"Their choices are rather reasonable and rational," said J. Jeffrey Anzevino, a regional planner with Scenic Hudson, a nonprofit group that seeks to control suburban sprawl.
"This is excessive in the extreme and raises the question as to whether or not this is altogether rational," said Wayne S. Smith, once the top United States diplomat in Havana.
"There's definitely a lot of betting going on, and it's not rational," said Tim O'Reilly, a technology conference promoter and book publisher.
