64Cu and 89Zr can be considered pure β+ emitters, even though they have a much lower branching ratio: 64Cu decays β+ to the ground level of 64Ni, and 89Zr decays β+ to a metastable level of Yttrium 89mY, but the long half-life of the metastable level (15.8 s) makes the associated gamma not in coincidence.
This approach allowed us to extract precise primary branching ratios for decays from the resonant state, including a new primary branch to the 7082-keV state in Na23.
The speed of this motion is determined by the τ ε / τ Ca ratio (exponential decay rate).
This holds particularly for the traits with the strongest initial differences, that is for juvenile growth rate, the annual ratio of decay in growth investment and the PMRN slope (Fig 5A,C,E).
