As expected, in our study, moderate and severe periprocedural pain was less frequent after DEB-TACE and a lower rate of liver function impairment or SAEs was observed as compared with previous studies (Malagari et al, 2008; Lammer et al, 2010), probably due to the lower doses of anticancer drugs administered.
Consistent with this hypothesis, we noted that the rate of liver function testing (regardless of result) among all 94 695 patients receiving orlistat was higher during the 90 days before and after the first prescription for orlistat (774 tests per 1000 patient years) compared with other periods (481 tests per 1000 patient years).

There was no significant difference about the incidence rate of deterioration of liver function between the patients who adopted vaptans or not.
Although the difference was not significant, RR value was 0.88 might indicate the incidence rate of deterioration of liver function may be even smaller for the patients who used vaptans.
Thus, we assessed that hepatectomy up to 60%% of liver function rate, as a cutoff value, can be justified adequately in this case in accordance with it.
