The ranking of estimated SNP effects or significance levels differs between pooled data and individual data.
Hence, one may expect substantial re-ranking of estimated breeding values for variance among cohorts.
Mostofsky et al. (2012) noted that although effect estimates were not directly comparable across methods, the relative ranking of constituents' estimates was similar across methods.
