In the course of working on my book "Goddess on Earth: Portraits of the Divine Feminine," I encountered women from a diverse range of backgrounds and vocations with a variety of appearances and life paths.
The models included the independent variables gender, age, and time elapsing since being licensed as a physician, as well as the six most frequent motives for applying for medical school (Interest in people, Prestigious profession, Wide range of professional opportunities, Vocation, Good salary, and Achievements at school).
There was a range of educational backgrounds and vocations (e.g. nursing assistant, lawyer, secretary) with a noticeable number of nursing professions (n = 6).
When we compared respondents with different motives for applying for medical school, we found those who reported that the motives " Wide range of professional opportunities" and " Vocation" greatly affected their choice had a significantly lower odds ratio for the answer " No" in both studies.
Gaming can train individuals in a wide range of skills necessary for any vocation; from improving communication, to following directions, and learning new, technical, skills.
Each half-hour episode of the program focuses on two dogs and their vocations, and the range of canine job possibilities is impressive.
" Vocation" and " Wide range of professional opportunities" as important motives for entering medicine predicted satisfaction with the medical profession.
" Vocation", and " Wide range of professional opportunities" predicted that respondents would still have chosen medicine as a profession, although these were not the most important overall motives.
The predicted subsequent satisfaction related to " Vocation" and " Wide range of professional opportunities" may indicate that those who have a strong inner motivation to work in the medical profession are also able to adapt to the sometimes challenging conditions faced by physicians.
