To facilitate hypoglycaemia induction, a three-times-higher basal insulin dose was administered at midnight (range of timing ±3 min), replacing the regular basal insulin dose given at 20 00 hours (Fig. 1).
In the range of timing suggested by American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists 30 to 60 s, preterm infants may potentially derive more short and long-term benefits with delayed cord clamping (DCC) for at least 60 s.

We report data from a wide range of timing tasks from two subjects with disabling neurologic deficits caused by bilateral lesions of the basal ganglia.
Interestingly, the range of physical timing differences across which audio and visual events can seem synchronous is shaped by content, with audiovisual (AV) speech likely to be judged as synchronous across a broader range of timing differences than more basic stimuli, such as light flashes and beeps [2], [4], [13].
This has been linked to the 'unity assumption', wherein the apparent relatedness of two events can shape the range of timing differences across which they are likely to be judged as synchronous [4], [8] [9], [13] [16].
Despite clinical and radiologic evidence of substantial bilateral basal ganglia disruption, XG and KQ-167 perform well on a wide range of timing tasks including estimation, production, reproduction and discrimination with both sub- and supra-second stimuli.
The demonstration that two subjects with extensive and disabling focal lesions of the bilateral basal ganglia perform normally on a wide range of timing tasks with sub- and supra-second stimuli suggest that the basal ganglia are not crucial for many interval timing procedures.
There is a very wide range of timing of delayed surgery.
Further experiments employing a wider range of timing schedules are needed to investigate this possibility.
