Among the three meta-heuristics, differential evolution (DE) performs best in terms of the objective function, i.e., the quality of reconstructing the expected output, and in terms of the speed of convergence.
We compare the performance of the four optimization methods on this task along a number of dimensions, including the quality of reconstructing the observed system output (the measured quantities) and the complete model dynamics (all system variables, including unobserved ones), as well as the speed of convergence.
