There is a post-qualifying framework for social workers, revised this September, made up of three levels of qualification and five specialisms, including one for children, young people, their families and carers.
The GSCC undertook innovative work in involving people who use services and their carers in numerous aspects of its work – from developing the codes of practice, to inspecting social work degree courses and developing the post-qualifying framework.
