The Central YMCA is announcing plans for a UK qualification in body image.
At its heart lies the transfer of freshly approved qualifications from one body, the National Qualifications Framework, to a new one, the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF).
"The overriding message from this year's figures is one of stability," said Michael Turner, director general of the Joint Council for Qualifications, the umbrella body representing exam boards.
At its heart should be a de-politicisation of curriculum and qualifications, an independent body made up of teaching professionals to drive policy in this area, and a radically different approach to assessment and accountability, the heads agreed.
It is also recommended that a new body called Qualifications Wales should be established at arms length from the Welsh government to regulate qualifications.
The Confederation of Tourism and Hospitality is a leading professional awarding body for qualifications in the hospitality and tourism sector.
However, the Joint Council for Qualifications - the umbrella body which supervises the exams season, said it would not be possible to extend the exam period or bring it forward.
"The overall figure of the number of recruiters who check degree qualifications with the awarding body is only around 20%," said Rowley.
A spokesman for the Joint Council for Qualifications, the boards' umbrella body, said it would not comment further, pointing to a previous statement, which said: "all of the allegations were investigated thoroughly".
modern languages graduates go on to take some form of teaching qualification, but those interested in a translating or interpreting career will need professional qualifications from an accredited body (such as the Institute of Translation and Interpreting or the Chartered Institute of Linguists) before setting up.
