Using the oldest published samples of human fecal matter, archaeologists have found the first direct evidence that Neandertals in Europe cooked and ate plants about 50,000 years ago.
Results: The mean PWS score (15.99) for the sample was comparable to published samples of adults (mean, 15.31-16.51); however, the reliability of the composite score (α =.58) and the subscales (α =.32-.64 =.32-.64s than that obtained in previous samples (composite α = 0.91; subscale α =.64-.81).
Locations of published samples were usually given in the source as map references or place names which we translated into latitude and longitude.
