The area launched its public information programme, which informs patients about SCRs as well as how to opt-out, in January 2010.
For iFOBT based screening, costs included those needed for the organisation of the screening campaign (public information, programme development, infrastructure and coordination) and purchasing, distributing and interpreting the tests (pathology processing and information costs) as well as the diagnostic follow up of positive iFOBTs.
