When looking at plots across both habitats, on average both PSV and PSE were significantly lower than expected by chance under a null model of community assembly (PSV: p<0.001; PSE: p<0.001; figure 4).
This study was designed to determine the effect of raw material and the inclusion of pork collagen on the protein functionality of boneless cured pork manufactured from 100% pale, soft, and exudative (PSE), 50% PSE, and 0% PSE with either 3 or 0% collagen.
The tested variables included; the pH 8.0 ± 0.5 for the three studied drugs, the change in the volume of the buffer solution 0.8 ± 0.2 mL for PSE, 1.0 ± 0.2 mL and 1.0 ± 0.5 mL for PPA.
Meanwhile, the observed drug release cannot be classified as prolonged because of the relatively short time for release of 100% of the entrapped PSE (50 min) and BSA (30 min).
The change in the volume of DNFB 0.3%, (v/v), 0.8 ± 0.2 mL for PSE, 0.6 ± 0.1 mL for PPA and 0.8 ± 0.2 for EPH, the change in the heating time, 25 ± 5 min for PSE and EPH and 20 ± 5 min for PPA.
Increasing the heating time resulted in gradual increase in the absorbance value of the reaction product up to 20 min for PSE, 15 min for PPA and 20 min for EPH, respectively, after which no further increase in the absorption intensities occur.
Finally, the point of subjective equality (PSE, 0.5p) was considered the estimated interval (see Table 3).
I chose two related phylogenetic diversity indices: phylogenetic species variability (PSV) and phylogenetic species evenness (PSE) [36].
When considered separately, however, disturbed plot were on average significantly phylogenetically clustered – PSV and PSE were lower than expected (PSV: p = 0.008; PSE: p<0.001; figure 4).
Based on the observation that many known enhancers are also functional in Pse [23], [56], [57], we estimated the model sensitivities at 83 % and 48, respectively, corresponding to the fractions of known enhancers that have conserved orthologs in Pse (Table 2).
