Since January 2013 UNICEF and its partners supported the successful demobilization and reintegration of 1,700 children and will continue to provide reintegration support for children who leave the armed groups.
"The justice system for children not only needs to provide reintegration programmes for children in conflict with the law," said Mr. Sheldon Yett, Representative, United Nations Children's Fund UNICEF), "but programmes for those at risk also need to be in place.

Mentoring services are provided for a full year through one-on-one sessions, peer-to-peer contact, and ongoing support groups designed to provide assistance throughout reintegration.
