There are currently very few large-scale implementations of LA, while the research agenda of the LA research community is focused on what Dawson et al. (2014) have termed "proposal solutions".
These researchers undertook a citation network analysis of the contribution to the LAK conferences, the large community for LA researchers, and found that "both the conference and the journal special issues are dominated by the lack of conventional research methods and that the authors, regardless of the home discipline, mainly contribute proposal solutions to the conference" (Dawson et al. 2014).
