In their study of men, Strasak and colleagues observed that incident cancers occurred in dose-proportion to baseline GGT levels (P for GGT log-unit increase < 0.0001; P for trend < 0.0001).
The increase in recruitment rates sought was in adverse proportion to the baseline recruitment rates offered in the questionnaire.
