The final proportion statistic for each core is defined as the proportion of nuclei lying above the boundary compared with the total number of points on the plot, and the intensity as the ratio of the difference between the median ordinate values of the points above the boundary (stained) compared with below (unstained).
For a proportion statistic useful for comparison with genotype-imputation accuracy, pairwise similarity was calculated as the sum, over the N SNP positions genotyped in both accessions, of the number of allele identities, ranging from 0 to 2, at each SNP, divided by 2 N.
SRMs of different measures are compared by the modified jack-knife procedure as described by Angst et al. [ 40]. "Internal" responsiveness on the individual level is reported in this study by use of the "reliable change proportion" statistic (RCP [ 6, 41]).
(ii) MALDI imaging: Data was analyzed by SCiLS Lab (version 2014a, SCiLS GmbH, Bruker Daltonics) or by exporting peak lists from flexAnalysis (TopHat baseline subtraction and SN >3) and in-house R [ 23 ] processing for difference in proportions statistic (DIPPS) analysis.
Proportion of fallers between groups will be compared using the incidence rate ratio statistic.
In this figure, we show the same statistic (proportion of correctly reconstructed topology) using cBrother software [28], a fast implementation of the Bayesian procedure DualBrothers [21].
The test power was computed as the proportion of test statistic values falling into the lower or upper 5% tail of the null distribution (a neutral model without recombination, selection, and demographic effects).
The discrimination of the propensity model was assessed by determining the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve, and the overall fit by determining the pseudo-R2 statistic (proportion of log-likelihood explained by the model).

The difference between these two proportions is a statistic measuring one's ability to discriminate between studied and non-studied items, and has been used to represent RIF.
Under the null hypothesis, each of the t-statistics are equally likely, and thus, the resulting P-value is the proportion of the t-statistic values greater than or equal to the t-statistic of the correctly labeled data (for more details, see Nichols and Holmes, 2001).
