When looking at each method individually, it can be noticed that the total number of predictions (Table 2) as well as the proportion of method-specific predictions is much larger in K-means and TemplateFilter than in NPS and NucleoFinder (Fig. 1a).
Proportions of methods used and results findings were compared by the χ test.
Any of these methods can be chosen to populate the behaviour of a premise consumption individually, and can also be combined using weights to obtain a desired proportion of profile methods.
First, the proportion of violent methods was found to have increased in the total sample and in the sample of suicide attempts.
We extracted the following information from each retrieved article: name of first author, start of follow-up for CHD (year), study location (country), population, number of participants, number of CHD events, mean follow-up time, mean age or age range, proportion of women, method of assessment of job insecurity, method of assessment of CHD, and covariates included in the adjusted models.
PPV identified the proportion of approximation method CPs that were CPs under map-based methods, so that a low value indicates that only a low proportion of those identified are map-based CPs.
PPV enabled us to examine how many farm premises the approximation methods picked up that were not actually contiguous, by giving the proportion of approximation method CPs that were contiguous under the map-based definitions.
The proportion of each method is given in Figure 1.
The relative proportions of suicide methods in the sample were consistent with the official suicide statistics in the three countries, except the subgroup 'intentional self-harm by drowning and submersion' in the Swedish data set, in which the official percentage in 2008 was 4.7% and in this data set was 12%.
