The name of this index is rather cryptic, but it is weakly negatively correlated with turn or coil propensities (data not shown).
There was no difference in estimates between males and females when multiple imputation and propensity score were used (P>0.05, data not shown in tables).
In addition, from our analysis of the residue epitope propensity scores on all antigens (data not shown), we noted that experimentally annotated epitopes had generally higher E p scores compared to non-epitopes (1.53 versus -0.23 respectively, P-value <0.1).
