The SHAKE program computes the site response of horizontally layered soil-rock profile subjected to transient and vertical travelling shear waves based on the wave propagation solutions of Kanai (1951), Roesset and Whitman (1969), and Tsai and Housner (1970).

The use of DE models is of major importance, as many of the crack propagation computational solutions are based on them.
In the context of one-dimensional wave propagation, a local solution procedure is designed based on the method of characteristics for a posteriori evaluation of reflected waves.
The alloy GH864, for example, shows an intersection of crack initiation and propagation when the solution temperature is around 1046 °C or the carbide continuous coefficient (fc) is close to 0.56.
Genetically engineered Escherichia coli JM109, which expressed merT merP protein and metallothionein (MT), was employed in this study to evaluate its potential for mercury bioaccumulation accompanied by simultaneous cell propagation in Hg2+ solution containing organic matters.
Figure 3 displays the overtaking collision interactions among three solitons with two bell-shaped solitons and an anti-bell-shaped soliton with different amplitudes along the same propagation direction of solution (40) at different time, the solitons with higher amplitude travel faster than those with lower amplitudes.
An alternative source of these plants is clearly needed and mass propagation offers a solution (Stanberg and Kane 1998).
