When the IPPC slab is very thin, the propagation light almost transmits through in zero-order diffraction.
The required switching time for change of the propagation light from subluminal to superluminal is about 3 ps, and vice versa is 15 ps Fig. 6(b).
Figure 5(b) shows that the required switching time from subluminal propagation light to superluminal propagation or vice versa is about 7γ.
