In this review, we outline the origin of myofibroblasts, their general characteristics and functions during fibrosis progression in three major organs: liver, kidneys and lungs as well as in cancer.
The best response was partial response in four (16.7%) patients, stable disease in 17 (70.8%) and progression in three (12.5%).
