The work programme of this study is divided into two main parts, namely, field trial of prototype Ultrabatteries in a Honda Insight HEV and laboratory tests of prototype batteries.
A Data Monitoring Board is not needed because the intervention programme of this study produces minimal risk to participants.
The training programme of this study was done 5 days per week according to the previous study [ 5], and consisted of 20 and 80 jumps per day for 8 weeks.
Based on these findings an initial protocol of the stepped-care programme for this study was developed.
We found that the cost-efficiency improved with increasing number of truck drivers served by the programmes as well as with increasing number of truck drivers contacted by the programmes, but this relation fell slightly short of reaching statistical significance of p < 0.05 probably because of the small sample of programmes in this study.
In conclusion, despite the introduction of more specific subcategories for drowning in the ICD-10, which would provide better information for the design of prevention programmes, the findings of this study illustrate that many countries fail to report sufficiently specific codes in drowning mortality data submitted to the WHO.
Given considerable differences in treatment intensity, and thus costs of the two treatment programmes, the results of this study promise to inform decisions not only concerning treatment referral, but also with regard to maximizing the use of health care resources in a climate of decreasing health expenditure.
Unlike many evaluations of parenting programmes, this study used a randomised controlled trial.
However, whilst being unable to conclude that oral health is or is not being promoted as a direct result of the Healthy Schools programmes, this study was able to demonstrate ways in which Healthy Schools programmes are promoting oral health.
Several factors might have influenced the effect size of the programme in this study.
