Stably transfected parasites and the antibody against the EGFP tag were used for the assays as described in Section 2. As shown in Figure 3, the negative controls using only beads, an unrelated antibody (anti-GST) or quenched beads did not precipitate nonspecific products (Panel (a)).
At least, 54 to 57 bp DNA is digested by Exo III from both the ends (218 and 215 bp-size products, panels A and B).
