We found 22 GO terms in the biological process category that showed strong enrichment in biosynthetic process, cellular process, macromolecule metabolic process, regulation of metabolic process and regulation of cellular process.
We found that the genes altered by differentiation were involved in epidermis development, plasma membrane, cellular lipid metabolic process, regulation of cell proliferation, blood vessel development, DNA metabolic process and regulation of DNA metabolic process.
These include modulations in the GO Biological Processes of lipid metabolic process, cholesterol biosynthetic process, and regulation of protein metabolic process (Table 2).
Consistently, the three related top GO terms enriched in the targets of this cluster are: Negative regulation of biological process, regulation of developmental process, and regulation of cell differentiation.
