We aimed to minimise selection bias through use of a retrospective design to avoid prescription induction and additional procedures, a random sampling process for study patient selection, and enrolment of a similar number of patients in each cohort.
Twelve trials [ 41- 46, 47, 47, 51- 55, 57, 59, 59, 63] described their randomization procedure, using a random number table, card, or coin tossing.
