The expansive view revealed a narrowing, less-developed Hudson, with lots of pristine shoreline and grassy wetlands.
It has six miles of pristine shoreline, a 27-acre duck marsh, pastures, forests and a lodge.

Though its season is short (June through September), the island, which is ringed with pristine shoreline, offers second-home owners long summer days, 26 golf courses, lush green countryside reminiscent of Scotland or Ireland, and an active arts scene.
He recommended following a portion of the Forgotten Coast, a 300-mile stretch of largely pristine shoreline along the Gulf of Mexico, where Florida's Panhandle meets the state's Big Bend region.
"Given the level of development in this area, the quality of the waterfront is very high," he said, adding that upland sources of pollution were the newest focus in maintaining a pristine shoreline.
