The radiator and the ground are printed on glass substrate by using commercialized inkjet printer Dimatix Material Printer (DMP).
The service will take a 3D model – maybe one you scanned in or something you made – and modify it based on the type of printer, the material, the desired print orientation, and plate positions.
"Unlike most [3D model] healing solutions out there where the healing process is general and basic our tech takes into consideration the targeted print, [whatever] the final size of the print, the printer or material used, resulting in a fix tailored to the desired final print and our solution also handles some of the most advanced issues in 3D printing such as wall thickness," he adds.
A template format would include the following: printer type, materials, time to print (assuming the object was printed by itself), estimated cost of the materials, and potential overall cost to fabricate the model.
Explicits were soon incorporated into or completely replaced by the colophon, which included information about the printer, printing materials, and typeface, and, often, the printer's emblem.
It is for this reason that Bowyer decided to make his designs open source (so anyone can access them), and subsequently build their own printer, using materials costing around £250.
The cost of a model was approximately $900 USD for printer use, materials and post-processing.
