Recently, Dennis et al. further characterized the 5′ upstream of KIAA0319 and identified a SNP marker rs9461045 that was not only significantly associated with DD and previously reported reading-related traits but could also influence the gene expression in luciferase-based assays possibly by alteration of the binding site to transcriptional silencer OCT-1 [ 10].
FISH results were obtained from the previously reported centralized reading on standard slides [ 30]; a HER2/CEP17 ratio higher than 2.2 defined amplification.
As shown in Fig. 1, pre-intervention (Session 1) measurements replicate previously reported correlations between reading scores and diffusion properties in the left arcuate, left ILF, and the CC: correlations between MD and Reading Skill are positive both in the intervention group and in the full sample containing intervention and control subjects (Fig. 1).
We began by replicating previously reported correlations between reading skill and properties of the white matter tracts connecting key components of the reading circuitry1,2,3,4,5,10,11,26,27,28,32.

H3K4me3 reads primarily localized to the unmethylated allele, as previously reported, but, unexpectedly, H3.3 reads were consistently found to be biased toward the opposite, DNA-methylated allele.
As previously reported [ 30], the read merging performed for these short-insert libraries considerably decreases the number of errors and creates sequences reflecting the original outer molecule length (e.g. of interest for authenticity of ancient DNA samples [ 31]).
ELISA analysis was performed using standard ELISA kits (R&D Systems, STA00C for TNF and S8000C for CXCL8), according to the manufacturer's instructions, as previously reported., Samples were read in triplicate at 450 nm in a Microplate Reader (BioRad, Milan, Italy) using Microplate Manager 5.2.1 software.
To further compare the small RNA expression profiles between virus-infected plants and mock-infected plants, we performed extensive BLAST searches to map all small RNA sequences to the Arabidopsis genome (Table 1), except for siRNAs derived from the viral genome which were 210 reads (12.4 % of total reads), as previously reported.
